Noah's Animal Hospitals

Veterinary · Central Indiana · Filmed May 2023

Customer since2013

Noah's Animal Hospitals is a family owned veterinary group across Central Indiana, including three emergency clinics open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. When they acquired a new building they collected competing bids for security and video, and chose Hoosier for the written design that came with the quote. Hoosier now handles video and alarm for every branch, and has done since 2013.

Read the transcript

We have three emergency clinics that run 7 by 24 by 365 days a year. We take care of pretty much all your pet's needs. We're spread primarily across Central Indiana. It's just family owned animal hospitals. We take care of birds, cats, dogs, lizards, snakes, whatever is required.

There's a new building we just acquired, and we needed to put in security, network, everything. We were getting different bids for the security and video systems in that building.

The biggest thing with working with Hoosier Security is, you'll sit down, and when you get a quote, you get a quote that's complete, so you know what you're buying. Other companies just give you a quote of what you're paying for, your labor and your equipment. But with Hoosier you've got a design, and you've got it in writing, what you're going to get. That's what really drew us to Hoosier.

So they handle all of our video and all of our alarm systems for all of our branches. Hoosier gives you a consultant to work with for your specific needs, and then those turn into a design, which turns into an implementation, which turns into a testable result.

I would recommend Hoosier Security because they provide you with a more complete solution. You can guarantee that you're going to, from the design phase, get a proper design written up with your specific parameters, and then you'll have that carried through to the technicians that install it. And then you can come back and test it, so you know you're getting what you paid for.

Evolve Transporters

Transportation · Noblesville, IN · Filmed June 2026

Customer since2025

Evolve Transporters built a new facility in Noblesville with a heavy technology fit-out and wanted security and access control to match the rest of it. Their decision maker compares Hoosier against vendors he had used before, and points to the early project conversations and product knowledge as the difference. The outcome he names is operational: the information he needs is a click away and the day to day is less stressful. A Hoosier customer since 2025.

Read the transcript

For me, knowing that we had a new building in process and the amount of technology that was going into the building overall, it was a no-brainer that we had to match that with our security and access control system.

I wanted something that offered the nicest, newest technology with the best features, as well as the knowledge of the staff and the promptness of the company in general.

Hoosier felt very different than other vendors that I've dealt with in the past. Everything from the conversations that we had early on in the project to their knowledge of the products and ability to pay attention to what we actually needed in this project, and provide the right technology to accomplish what we were trying to accomplish.

Day to day is a lot less stressful now. I know that I can easily get to the information needed and the data needed at the click of a button.

Hoosier Security as a whole is a group of very knowledgeable and very capable individuals that constantly strive to put the right technology in the hands of their customers. And that is something you don't find with normal vendors.

Woodruff Place Baptist Church

House of worship · Indianapolis, IN · Filmed March 2026

Customer since2024

Woodruff Place Baptist Church started seeing much heavier community use of its building, with outside groups coming and going, and staff having to be on site to unlock doors. Handing out more physical keys was not an option. Now a code is issued for a set window and switched off the moment the group leaves, from a laptop or a phone. The reason he gives for not buying the cheapest option is that he did not want to spend his time troubleshooting it. A Hoosier customer since 2024.

Read the transcript

A few years ago our building started to get a lot more use from the community. We have a lot of groups coming in here. It became harder for a staff person, somebody, to be here to let them in. Didn't want to start handing out lots of keys.

If someone wants to get in, I can open up that code for that certain amount of time. I can shut it off right away. I don't have to be here, or someone else doesn't have to be here to let them in. There's nobody monitoring the door, they can just come in. So just that ease of use certainly helps me with my time management. I don't have to make a bunch of keys. I don't have to keep track of stuff, and I don't have to spend as much time coming back and forth.

It's just from my laptop or the app on my phone. I can let people in or out of the building. If they're going to get in, they have a code. But also, if for some reason we don't want them accessing the building anymore, we can just turn off the code.

I was confident in the quality of the service. I didn't want to buy a cheap product and then always be coming back to troubleshoot it when it breaks down. That would take more time. I'd rather have a good product out of the gate that I just don't have to worry about.

St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Part 1

House of worship · Indianapolis, IN · Filmed March 2026

Customer since2024

The parish had handed out physical keys for years with no database or inventory of who held what, which produced a steady run of errors. Part one is that starting point and what changed. A Hoosier customer since 2024.

Read the transcript

It's just been an excellent experience. One of the biggest struggles that I came into when I took the position was, for years people were just handed physical keys and there was no database inventory or anything of that sort. We had a lot of errors and mistakes that would happen, and it just felt very impersonal.

It actually upped our safety in general. It has been a truly excellent experience that has brought so much peace of mind. I never thought some of the things that you guys are able to do would be something within my lifetime.

As technology evolves, we have to keep up on our end. So I know you guys are going to be the team that takes us even into the future as things continue to grow.

St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Part 2

House of worship · Indianapolis, IN · Filmed March 2026

Customer since2024

Part two is the audit trail. Previously, if someone had been in the building at two or three in the morning, the parish had no way to find out who it was or what they were doing. Now they can. A Hoosier customer since 2024.

Read the transcript

For a lot of people, I think that just gives a huge peace of mind. If somebody did get into the building, or we did have a situation, I feel like we are better prepared and that we have more limited access. I feel like we have a much better handle on being able to navigate after the fact.

We saw that somebody accessed the building at, like I said, 2 or 3 in the morning. Well, who was it? What were they doing? Why were they there? And that's not something we've ever had the capacity to look at and see. So from that perspective alone, that's a huge asset to us.

Definitely more prepared. And definitely more prepared for evaluating even our processes internally.

Bosma Enterprises

Nonprofit · Indianapolis, IN · Filmed May 2023

Customer since2015

Bosma Enterprises is an Indianapolis nonprofit that employs people who are blind or visually impaired. They brought Hoosier in when they purchased a new building and went looking for someone to handle cameras and building security, and have stayed ever since. Hoosier now covers cameras and building security across both Bosma buildings. A Hoosier customer since 2015.

Read the transcript

Bosma Enterprises is a nonprofit here in Indianapolis that employs people that are blind or visually impaired.

We got introduced to Hoosier Security about seven or eight years ago when we purchased our building, and kind of went through a search to try to find somebody to do all of our cameras, building security. Found a real small business we really liked, felt like we were going to be taken care of, and the rest is kind of history. We've been with them ever since. They handle both of our buildings, all of our cameras and all of our building security systems.

Hoosier Security, when we first engaged with them, came on site, gave us a quote, did a walkthrough with us on a brand new facility, and kind of landed on their solution. A lot of conversation about new technology that they're bringing out, telling us where our systems are, if they're out of date, if we needed to upgrade certain things.

Every time that we've had a need they've always been right there to explain everything that we have, walk us through the process, give us new quotes if we needed that. If it's hardware, if it's software updates, whatever it is, they've always been there right on our side to help us out.

If you're looking for a local partner in Indianapolis or surrounding counties, definitely look to Hoosier Security. They're going to be there for all your security needs.

Communitas Property Management

Condominium property management · Downtown Indianapolis · Filmed April 2023

Customer since2015

Communitas has managed high-end condominium associations since 2003. Owner Tara Betterman covers how Hoosier handles access control and camera surveillance across their downtown Indianapolis condo buildings, including common area surveillance and garage access. The value she names is standardization: running one or two systems the security company knows well, so every building and every homeowner is handled the same way. She also wrote one of the written reviews further down this page. A Hoosier customer since 2015.

Read the transcript

I have owned Communitas Property Management since 2003. We primarily have managed high-end condominium complexes and associations.

Hoosier Security takes care of our access controls and camera surveillance systems for all of our downtown condo buildings. They've added on surveillance systems to our common areas and taken care of access to our garages, so that our homeowners are sure that they're protected. Making sure that everybody enters that building, we know who they are, what kind of vehicle they're driving, and whether they belong in our building or not.

What's really important as a property manager is to make sure that our buildings are protected as much as possible, and operating in just one or two systems that your security company is really familiar with, to make sure that everybody is being cared for the same way and with the same respect and protections, is really important.

The biggest reason why Hoosier Security is important to us is that they're a one-stop shop. They can take care of our video surveillance, entry systems, and our access controls for our homeowners. The safety of our clients is the most important thing to us as a management company, and I feel like they respect that relationship. That's what makes them a great partner for us.

Special Dispatch

Logistics and freight · Indianapolis, IN · Filmed May 2023

Customer since2022

Special Dispatch is a logistics company that ships freight of every kind. Their door security system was badly out of date. Hoosier replaced it with PIN pad access for drivers and staff, which gave the company real trackability over who entered the building and when. The customer describes the changeover as seamless, with punctual communication and a detailed step plan agreed before the work started. A Hoosier customer since 2022.

Read the transcript

Special Dispatch is a logistics company that services everything from TSA to brake pads. We'll ship anything you need and send it wherever you want it to go.

Hoosier Security takes care of our door security by giving our drivers and staff members access with the security pin pads. They replaced our very outdated door security system. That's allowed us to have better trackability with our employees and our drivers.

The process of working with Hoosier Security was very personal. They took the time to come out, see what our needs were, and then tailor the experience based on that to what we needed, and then giving us a detailed step plan on how we get to the end goal.

I would recommend Hoosier Security because they made the transition from our old system to our new system very seamless. They were very good and punctual about communication, and they were transparent along the entire process.

Timber Creek Condominium Association

Condominium association · Carmel, IN · Filmed May 2023

Customer since2022

Timber Creek was running clubhouse access control on an aging Acer desktop that depended on Internet Explorer, using it to activate and deactivate resident key cards. The association interviewed several vendors before choosing Hoosier. Board members now manage clubhouse credentials and key fobs from their phones instead of driving to the clubhouse to make a change. A Hoosier customer since 2022.

Read the transcript

What brought me to Hoosier Security is that our system was so archaic. We had an Acer computer and we were supported by Internet Explorer, so it was very, very old, and we used it to activate and deactivate the security cards to the clubhouse.

We interviewed different vendors and we found Hoosier Security, and the sales rep was very knowledgeable and knew his product.

Everybody at Hoosier Security is wonderful. They're very accessible, even down to the technicians. They are very, very positive people.

We have key fobs that enter into the system, and what's very nice is that we can access it from our cell phones, so we don't have to go down to the clubhouse to enter in any information.

You should work with Hoosier Security because they're reasonably priced, they work with you, they're very accessible, they are very positive. We just had a great experience with them.

Hoosier Security handled the security and camera tech for our new Noblesville facility, and the experience was exactly what you would hope for on a project like this. They came in on budget, the team was professional and easy to work with, and they made what could have been a complicated process feel straightforward.

The personable experience and knowledge of the products they provide, along with the ability to envision our goals truly separates Hoosier Security from the other companies I have experience with. Through this deployment, they gained our company not only as a customer, but more importantly as a partner! We will most certainly continue to use them as we move forward.

I had to have a service call today and I had a technician come out. He is kind of new to the company, he said. But I just wanted to let you know he did a great job. I did not catch his name, but he did a really good job and I wanted to just give that feedback.

Questions people ask before they call

Checking us out

Plain answers about who we are, how fast we actually work, and how to judge any commercial security company, including this one.

Yes. Hoosier Security is the operating name of CCTV Dynamics, Inc., an Indiana corporation founded in 2012 and headquartered at 7828 E 88th St in Indianapolis. The company holds Indiana alarm company license LAC-000252 and is a nationally certified Minority Business Enterprise through the National Minority Supplier Development Council. There is a second office in Clinton Township, Michigan, serving the Detroit metro. The Indianapolis address is a building the company owns and operates, not a mailbox or a shared suite.

The number that matters is time to fix, not time to respond. Anyone can respond. Across 2025 service history, the average time from a customer reporting an issue to that issue being resolved was approximately 12 hours for customers on a Just Fix It or ESP service agreement, and approximately 22 hours for customers without one. Both figures are measured from the customer's first report to a confirmed fix, not to a first phone call or a scheduled appointment. Service agreement customers get priority dispatch, which is where most of that difference comes from.

The range runs from around 2,500 dollars to over one million dollars. Smaller work is handled through the service department and larger work through the project team, which is a difference in how a job is scheduled and managed rather than a difference in willingness to do it. A meaningful share of the company's largest clients started with a single service call for a broken camera or a door that would not lock, so a small first job is a normal way to begin a relationship.

Headquarters is in Indianapolis and there is a regional office in Clinton Township, Michigan, covering the Detroit metro. Those two markets cover most local installation and service work, including Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Greenwood, Avon, Zionsville, Westfield, Plainfield, and Brownsburg on the Indiana side. Beyond that, the company supports client sites across the country for multi-site and national accounts, with design, programming, monitoring, and support handled centrally. If your portfolio spans several states, ask about the multi-site program specifically.

Two places. Google Business Profile reviews, and feedback customers sent to us directly, which reaches us by email, by voicemail, or as a comment in a service ticket. Video reviews are recorded by customers and hosted on the Hoosier Security YouTube channel. Every written review is labeled with where it came from, reviews marked Direct carry a note saying how they arrived, and the Google reviews link back to the original listing so the full set can be read in context. There are Yelp and Facebook pages too, both linked at the bottom of this page, but neither carries enough reviews to be worth reproducing here.

No. This site is owned, written, and paid for by Hoosier Security. It is a testimonial page on its own domain, not a third party review platform. Nobody is paid or given anything of value in exchange for a review, and reviews are published as written. The links at the bottom of this page go to the source listings on Google, Yelp, and Facebook, which are outside the company's control.

Three themes repeat. Problems get resolved rather than deferred, which is what the published time to fix numbers reflect. The same technicians come back, because installation crews are employees of the company rather than rotating subcontractors. And customers who switched from a national provider mention being able to reach a person who knows their building. Length of relationship comes up as well, with several of the customers on this page having stayed with Hoosier for the better part of a decade across multiple buildings. Customers who have owned a system long enough to need service tend to bring up the three year parts and labor warranty and the Just Fix It program.

Check six things. First, licensing: ask for the state alarm license number and verify it. Second, who does the physical work, direct employees or subcontractors, and whether they are background checked. Third, the warranty, specifically whether it covers labor as well as parts and for how long. Fourth, what happens after the install: ask for an average time to fix, not an average time to respond, because those are very different numbers. Fifth, whether they will show you a working system before you buy, not just a brochure. Sixth, contract terms, especially auto renewal language, monitoring lock in, and who owns the equipment and the recorded video at the end.

Ask who owns the equipment if you cancel. Ask whether the monitoring agreement auto renews and what notice cancellation requires. Ask what the labor rate is for a service call outside warranty. Ask how long the warranty runs and whether labor is included. Ask whether the camera and access control platform locks you into that installer, or whether another company could service it later. Ask what happens to your recorded video if you leave. Ask for two references at properties similar to yours, and actually call them. Get the answers in the proposal, not in an email.

Yes, under the Famous Trailers brand. These are solar and generator powered mobile surveillance trailers with an elevated camera mast, cellular connectivity, and remote video monitoring, used for construction sites, equipment yards, parking areas, events, and municipal deployments. They are available to purchase or to lease. In Indianapolis, Hoosier Security is also a B-Link Indy integrator, which allows participating customer cameras to be connected to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department through the city video platform.

Commercial and industrial properties, manufacturing plants, warehousing and logistics, multifamily and multi-tenant properties, auto dealerships, houses of worship, schools, municipalities and law enforcement, and organizations running several locations that want one integrator across cameras, access control, alarm, and fire monitoring. The work is commercial only, so homes and individual apartments are not something the company takes on.

Armando Perez founded the company in 2012 and is its President. Jake Shaffer is General Manager and runs day to day operations, finance, and people. Bryan Halterman leads engineering, system design, and estimating. Dhasha Pikus leads operations, project management, and the field service team. Installation crews are employees of the company, not subcontracted labor. Armando is active in the security industry beyond the company and writes and speaks on commercial security practice, and the company holds memberships with ASIS International, the Security Industry Association, and NFPA.

Search Hoosier Security on Google and open the Business Profile to read every review in one place, sorted however you want. The Yelp and Facebook pages are public and linked at the bottom of this page. Video reviews sit on the public Hoosier Security YouTube channel where comments and view counts are visible. For business standing, the Indiana Secretary of State business search will show the CCTV Dynamics, Inc. registration, and the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency lists alarm company license LAC-000252.
